Join us in Regina Downtown from Feburary 4-13 for art, poetry, workshops and more!

Join the Creative City Centre, in partnership with Regina Downtown and Frost Week, for ten days of fun winter art activities in Victoria Park February 4th-13th! Local artists are creating snow sculptures, Karlie King and Geanna Dunbar will be hosting a variety of winter art activities for you to enjoy, the Word Up gang are presenting a night of spoken word in the big tent, and there are so many other things to see/do!  Bring your skates, check out the outdoor art gallery, listen to artist talks, watch movies, and so many other fun things to do in our frosty city!

Snow Sculptures

Through out the week, local Regina artists will be creating large snow sculptures in Victoria Park. Come on down and watch them in action!

Mini Snow Sculptures
11:30 am to 1:30 pm

Make your own snow sculpture! Tools and snow provided!

Build and paint a snowman!
1:00 pm to 3:00 pm
Come down to Victoria Park and build your own little snowman!

Frost Art Walk & Artist Talk
5 pm – 7 pm & 7 pm – 9 pm

Frost Bites: Regina Word Up Open Mic & Just Write workshops
6-8:30pm
Just Write facilitated by Carla Harris and Aspen Huggins, Open Mic hosted by Devon Dozlaw and
featured poet is Liberty Skye.

Winter Themed Mono-Prints with Karlie King
5-9 pm

Come learn the art of printmaking. Create your very own winter themed postcard, card or artwork print.
Share them with friends, use them for invites, or frame them and decorate your home.

Snow Mandalas with Karlie King
6-8 pm

The snow will be our medium for creating a beautiful mandala, which in many cultures is used to
symbolically represent the cosmos. Using various shaped stamps, we will create intricate patterns
centered around a unifying center. Come be part of this experience!

Mini Snow Sculptures with Geanna Dunbar
6-8 pm

Make your own snow sculpture! Tools and snow provided!

Build and paint a snow castle with Brandy Jones
11:30 am – 1:30 pm
Come build a snow castle and make it your own with magical colours!

Snow Painting with Karlie King
1:00 pm & 2:00 pm.

Instead of a blank white canvas, we will be using blank white snow as the backdrop of our paintings!
Similar to a ‘paint-night’ we will walk you through the creation of a landscape painting, step by step.
Painting sessions are 30 -45 minutes long, weather dependent.

 3-5 pm
After this workshop, you’ll be able to make your own snow sculptures at home!
