Join us at the Art Shack in Regina Downtown from February 13th-22nd 2026 for art, crafts, workshops, and more!
This year the Creative City Centre, in partnership with Regina Downtown and Frost Week, has prepared a great set up for their arts hub in Victoria Park near the skating rink! Come on down to the Art Shack where local artists will be offering a variety of hands on workshops to partake in! All workshops are free, open, drop in, all ages, and no experience is required to join.
Remember to bring your skates because next to the Art Shack you can check out some of Regina’s upcoming young DJ’s on ice!

Friday, February 13th
5:00 – 8:00PM Bracelet making workshop
Join Skylar, Zoe, and Iris in the Art Shack for a bracelet workshop! Do you need a last minute Valentine’s gift for someone else or yourself? Or do you want to brush up on your bracelet-making skills? Bring your skates for the Taylor Swift themed skate night on the plaza rink!
Saturday, February 14th
12 noon – 2:30 pm: Model magic clay workshop, snowball catapults, winter wands
This workshop will be celebrating Frostfest with mini “snowball” catapults and magic winter wands made out of an assortment of items you may not usually think to craft with. Come prepared for some silly, mess-free, snowball fights! Facilitated by Geanna and Lisa Dunbar.
2:30 pm – 5 pm: Painting magic snowflake art
Magic Snowflake Art is a welcoming, all-ages, drop-in art activity that invites participants to explore color, texture, and surprise through watercolor and salt. Using simple materials and an open-ended process, participants create winter-inspired artwork while discovering how wax resist and salt interact with paint. Facilitated by Crystal Massier.
5:30 pm – 8:30 pm: Drop in date night: winter art with RPL/Dunlop Art Gallery
Great for all ages and abilities, youth under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
Sunday, February 15th

Winter Snowflake Clay Play is a calm, sensory-rich, community art experience that invites participants to explore shape, texture, and form through hands-on clay modeling. Inspired by the endless variety of snowflakes, this project emphasizes creative exploration rather than a finished product. Facilitated by Crystal Massier.
Monday, February 16th

Paper Plate Mask Making is an imaginative, hands-on community art experience that invites children and families to explore identity, storytelling, and creative play. Using simple materials, participants design and create wearable masks that can become animals, characters, or entirely imagined beings. The focus is on imagination and transformation rather than perfection, supporting expressive play and creative confidence. Facilitated by Crystal Massier.
Get ready to unleash your creativity at Frost Festival with a hands-on workshop to paint mini snowboards that can become action-figure gear, doll accessories, bookmarks, or tiny plant art. Bring your imagination, your sense of play, and your pop-culture flair as we level up winter together, facilitated by Justine “Tini” Stilborn and her two little creative dynamos, Lucy and Eve.
Friday, February 20th
6:30 – 8:30 pm: Paws & Prose, a winter songwriting workshop with Megan Nash (and Max).
Megan doesn’t care for winter. Max loves winter. Megan has sensitive teeth. Max chomps on snow. Can Max and Megan Nash write a winter song so they can cash in on seasonal song royalties and buy the fancy expensive dog chews? Join them on their frosty journey on February 20th. Bring your notebooks!

11 am – 2 pm: Snowflake printmaking with RPL/Dunlop Art Gallery

What makes communities thrive, and what resources are often missing or unequally distributed across the city? AuthentiCity centres community care, accessibility, and collective imagining, to imagine a more supportive and inclusive city for all. Join artists Geanna Dunbar and Amber Phelps Bondaroff to create city-sign inspired artworks that can be installed outside in the park or in your home neighbourhoods.
