Carly Bear is a Plains Cree/Saulteaux from Treaty 4 Territory, who grew up in Regina’s North Central neighbourhood. She found herself and her aspirations for the future through art at a young age and hopes to inspire others to see they have the same potential. As a young Indigenous artist, Carly wants to show other young people they can prosper no matter their circumstance, as she came from a broken home and is surviving the challenges of chronic illness. Carly plans to continue to bring awareness of the Indigenous movement through her life and her words.
The Creative City Centre exists because of the financial support of Jacqui Shumiatcher, Dr. Roberta McKay and Elmer Brenner. These generous supporters of the arts in Regina are pillars in our community and we thank them from the bottom of our hearts!
