Pre-pandemic, the Hague Gallery was a bustling hive of activity. Since we opened our doors in 2011, we’ve hosted thousands of events in the gallery including music concerts, poetry slams, artist talks, art exhibitions, comedy nights, film screenings and every other kind of gathering you can imagine. The Hague has a seating capacity of only 43, so concerts and spoken word events were intimate events, with stellar acoustics and sightlines.
When we went into lockdown mode in March 2020, we realized we would not be able to maintain any kind of social distancing practices in our small venue. We found some financial support from SK Arts Special Projects Fund, purchased some new equipment to augment what we already had, and converted the gallery from a performance and exhibition space to a production studio. We’re now creating digital content on a regular basis. We will remain closed to the general public while this pandemic continues.
We can make the gallery available for recording, video and photography projects. If you’re interested in using our space to record a concert, shoot a video or anything that requires some technical support, give us a call at 306-546-5565.
