A Community Clay-Making Workshop with Geanna Rae
Join Treaty 4 artist Geanna Rae (formerly Dunbar) for a cozy morning of tea, clay, stories, and collective making during her Artist Residency at the Creative City Centre.
On October 17 from 10 AM–1 PM, we’ll gather together to explore the history and spirit of Pile of Bones, the place now known as Regina, Saskatchewan. Participants will create miniature bison skulls from air-dry, non-toxic clay to build a small collaborative diorama of the iconic Pile of Bones.
Everyone will make two little bison skulls — one will become part of the collective installation we create together, and the other is yours to take home as a small piece of the gathering.
The clay is air-dry and non-toxic, with no sticky or oily residue, making it a comfortable option for participants who may have sensory sensitivities.
Tea & Clay is about creating together, sharing stories, connecting with place, and exploring ideas of community, reciprocity, and belonging through art. There is no previous art experience required — just come as you are, have some tea, get your hands messy, and help us build something together.
Everyone is welcome!
MARK YOUR CALENDARS!
The next Tea & Tiny Relics with Geanna Rae session will be November 28 from 10 AM–1 PM at the Creative City Centre.
