10 years ago, these wonderful humans and myself started articulateinker (a badass printmaking collective). We were lucky enough to be offered space at the creativecityctr by mariansaskatchewan (another wonderful human). It’s been a wild ride. ...Here’s to 10 more years. #happy10ccc

A Decade Printmaking…
In some ways, it seems like the last ten years that we’ve spent building and shaping Articulate Ink has flown by and in some ways, it seems like it has been ten years of hard work and determination that has kept us going and building this organization.
It is beyond a doubt that without the support of the Creative City Centre (CCC) since the inception of our organization in 2011, we would not be where we are today or perhaps not even exist at all. The Creative City Centre has provided us with the most supportive, affordable studio space, and this has allowed us to exist as long as we have, and we are forever grateful for that.
As we reflect on ten years of the CCC and also ten years of Articulate Ink, it is so nostalgic to recall some of the memories we’ve made, projects we’ve taken on and friendships we’ve built through the years.
As we wrote this post, we took a look back through our entire Instagram feed, which serves as a bit of a time capsule, and we are so proud of the things we’ve been able to accomplish together.
Articulate Ink has always been funded by commercial screen printing - A.K.A. printing t-shirts. We have very gratefully been the recipients of operational funding from SK Arts for many years, but most of our revenue has been self-generated through printing, primarily t-shirts. There are SO MANY folks in Regina, and beyond that, we’ve been lucky to work with to produce apparel over the years. We can’t even begin to name them for fear of leaving someone out. The support that we have received from the non-profit, artistic sector and small businesses has allowed us to survive financially, and we are so very grateful for that.
